fall, so far...

has been a treat -- and it's only going to get better with halloween parties, warmer sweaters, and lots of goodies. we have enjoyed 'haunting up' our mantle, wandering through the family pumpkin patch, and watching the colors on the mountains change. perhaps our proudest fall moment came when dirk and i endeavored to make pumpkin soup. it wasn't exactly the creamy goodness that we expected, but we're not giving up on it just yet...
